2025 "It Happened in Monterey" , September 19-21
Please read carefully: Keith DaCosta is hosting “It Happened in Monterey”, our final WCFBA baseball tournament for the year. Please join us for a fun weekend of baseball and family enjoyment set in the beautiful Monterey peninsula. This year’s tournament will take place Friday at Frank E. Sollecito Ballpark, 777 Pearl Street, Monterey and Saturday & Sunday at the Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) Baseball Field, 980 Fremont Street, Monterey. Teams We will consist of up to six teams, comprising of WCFBA Giants/A’s combined players, and our visiting friends the Cardinals, Furry’s Dodgers. Signups will be on a first-come-first serve basis until Wednesday, September 5th or when the teams are filled. Should we fill the teams before the deadline, you may sign up to be on a waiting list.
Game Schedule Friday, 8:30am, 11:30am & 2:30pm, at Sollecito Field. Saturday, 8:30am, 11:30am & 2:30pm at Monterey Peninsula College. Sunday, 8:00am, 11:00am & 2:00pm at Monterey Peninsula College.
Hotel Information
A room block has been reserved at Hilton Garden Inn Monterey with a group rate of $254.00/$273.00 per night + tax; call 831-333-2404 and mention the code "west coast fantasy baseball Assoc." to get the group price. The room block will be held until Thursday, September 18th after which the room block will be released.

Banquet
Our banquet will be Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Hilton Garden Inn Monterey. The cost of the banquet is NOT included for players. For players and additional guests ages 12+, the cost will be $90.00 each and for children ages 11 and under the cost will be $55 each.
Our banquet will be held Saturday, September 20th, at the Hilton Garden Inn Monterey with cocktails at 6:00pm and dinner at 7:00pm. The cocktail hour will include hors d’oeuvres with a no-host bar. Dinner will be buffet style featuring several dishes and desserts specially prepared by the hotel’s Executive Chef. Selected fine wines will be provided with dinner. In addition, there will be a no host cash bar. Additional dinners will be $90 each. We hope to have a fun raffle and maybe an “LCR” game again.
