2021 "It Happened in Monterey" October 1-3

Keith DaCosta and Friends are proud to host “It Happened in Monterey”. This will be WCFBA's final tournament for the year, and your last chance.... We hope you can join us for a unique weekend of fun in the beautiful Monterey area.

This year’s tournament will again take place at Sollecito Field on Friday and Sat/Sun at Monterey Peninusla College Field, from October 1 - 3, 2021. There will also ‬‬be an optional golf outing on ‭Thursday, September 30‭, at‬ Del Monte Golf Course‭.

We will consist of six teams, WCFBA combined Giants/A's, WCFBA A's, Dodgers (may be a partial team). We have invites out to the Cards, Dodgers and Mariners as well. Players will be signed up on a first-come first-served basis until Monday, September 20th or when the teams are filled. Should we fill the teams before the deadline, you may sign up to be on a waiting list.

Due to current COVID-19 issues there will be no banquet this tournament.

We hope to see you all in Monterey and on the fields.

Hotel Information

A room block has been reserved at Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa with a group rate of $219.00 per night + tax; use the link https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/MRYDM/G-WCBA to get the group price. The room block will be held until Monday, September 20th after which the room block will be released.

Single and double occupancy room rates are $219, triple occupancy $240 and quadruple occupancy $265, plus service fees and taxes. Game Schedule

Friday, Saturday and Sunday games will be triple headers, with 8:30 am, 11:30 am and 2:30 pm start times. Each team will play one game per day. Friday's games will be at Sollecito (Denis the Menace Park Field). Games on Sat and Sun will be at Monterey Peninsula College.

Thursday Golf

Our golf outing will be on ‭Thursday, September 30, ‭at th‭e ‬Old Del Monte Golf Course, the ‬‬oldest golf course west of the Mississippi. The course is well maintained and managed by the Pebble Beach Company. Our discounted greens fees will be $78 per player including cart. We’re limited to‭ ‭5 ‬‬‭foursomes with tee times beginning at 12 pm.‬
